Training Leaders
It is truly a joyful time when we are able to come alongside and train overseas pastors who have little if any biblical training available to them. Their hearts are thirsty to know God’s Word and impart God’s Word to their people. EMI provides training for these leaders in the area of doctrine, church planting, leadership principles and Bible study methods. This is done through a three-year curriculum with the expectation that these pastors and leaders will in turn train others. Many overseas church leaders struggle how to rightly divide the Word of God. Our intention is to train and mentor them to confidently teach God’s Word, shepherd God’s people, and impact their region for the cause of Christ. When enough leaders are trained, the frequency of visits from EMI can diminish and new areas can receive training.
“How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching? And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, ‘How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!'”
~ Romans 10:14-15
Empowering The Church
Many new believers overseas who come to Jesus Christ have no Bible, no accountability, and no way of learning more about God’s promises and plan for their life.
We are passionate about providing ongoing encouragement, mentoring, and resources for the church. We believe it is essential for the spiritual health and growth of the church. Bibles, Bible study aids, and practical insights on marriage and parenting are paramount for believers who desire to grow in their walk with Christ and in their relationship with others. We are committed to placing Bibles and Bible study aids if they are able to read (in their own language) into the hands of every person who desires to mature in Christ.
“… to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up.”
~ Ephesians 4:12
Reaching the Unreached
Our desire is that every person would have multiple opportunities to hear and see the Gospel lived out. We desire to see the church mobilized and heeding the call of God for the Great Commission. We work toward this end by coming along side churches and church leaders to equip them in the area of strategic evangelism and outreach in their area of influence. Teams from the United States are also a big part of our strategy in reaching the lost. These teams are involved in outreach projects to help the local church draw in many people in order to present the Gospel. These teams will use tools like english clubs and soccer events as outreach tools.
“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”
~ Acts 1:8
